Mag 6.8 quake

* Just had a magnitude 6.8 earthquake about two hours ago in Miyagi, Northern Japan, although it was only magnitude 3 here in Tokyo. The office shook for a bit, a slow build-up first with imperceptible shaking, then the computers and printer started shaking and I left the building without much ado. The building and power lines shook slightly, but the whole thing soon subsided.
* At present, according to the Mainichi News Service, upward of 35 people have been injured in the areas immediately surrounding the quake. There are reports that north Japan and some Tokyo train services have been halted.
