DJ Mandali brings you the Smokin Velvet Sessions, a smoky, backstage pass-only party mix drawing from a number of house and deep house labels such as Naked Music, F.Com, Hed Kandi, Pschent and many others. Featured DJs include eclecto-house sounds from artists Granufunk or Tyler Stadius, mixdowns from DJ Halo or C, early French deep house like "Hear the music" from Paul Johnson and a great Indian guru-trippy track towards the end from 10 Rootless. Something to throw on the speakers around 3am when the main guest DJ finishes spinning, destined to keep you sweating into the early hours.
Serving suggestion - A pair of speakers with a volume dial bolted to "Very Loud", a couple of close friends, lots of alcohol on ice, a sprinkling of intriguing acquaintances, a fair share of alluring friends-of-friends, lights down very low, and velvet upholstery of course... Definitely shaken not stirred.
