* Found this site last night, the animation there is really outstanding.
Layering New York skyscrapers with the historical evolution of the town, and allowing total freedom to pick and choose layers makes this site really easy to use. Mix together the rolling fields of the 1800s with the latest buildings of the 1990s, or check out the first railway systems with period pictures alongside... very cool.
Almost presenting the development of a city as archeology or even geology... an eye-opener. Check out the Skyscraper.org site here !
