* So after getting bounced 3 times from the website (it's supposedly slow due to a mention on Yahoo today), and kicked 5 times from trying to log on (is this one time too many or what?), I finally managed to get back in to the world of Second Life. With a new name, Saerti, it was back to the haunts of the good old days like Extreme, club Bad Girls, and getting to chat to the guys, and yes, some ladies.
Definitely seemed to be loads of people joining in all the time at the teleport landing sites (especially for the newbie teleport area), so I guess that's a lot of polygon processing somewhere down the line... To be honest, I have been trying other worlds such as Entropia Universe, although I'm not really familiar with it, and not too sure what is what. For example, although on sl (Second Life shorthand for "Second Life") you make money by sitting in chairs, participating in low-risk low-return gambling, or dancing on dance pods for hours on end (gotta make the green), in Entropia one of the only things I could seem to do is Harvest Sweat from another living being which apparently gives you energy points or something. The currency there (like in sl) are not Lindens, but PEDs, and you gain those by killing monsters or performing tasks, which then converts to money. Hmm, not too sure what's going on here, but will give it more time at some point.
But for the time being, it's back to hitting the clubs, chatting and rumba-ing with fun people, checking out cool custom dance animations with rainbows going in all directions (how do they do that... gotta be some scripting thing going on)... Basically, back to the good life.
