* Browsing the trailers of upcoming US release of a low-budget screen adaptation of A Scanner Darkly up at Yahoo and Apple, just could not seem to get the trailers to play. Switched over to YouTube and, sure enough, there it was. Definitely food for thought, if you know nothing about the book, you might want a peek at this. The graphics technique called Rotoscoping (or something akin to that), has morphed otherwise typical screen action into a visual cocktail, equal parts anime, hollywood movie, and special effects. Interesting to see both George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh in the ending credits as executive producers. After his work on Eros alongside Wong Kar Wai a little while back, interesting to see he's back in the thick of things. Check it below.

* Surfing YouTube along similar lines brought me this gem from a guy/girl called Twigg, which although still in production is exactly that - just amazing. Very cool... what can I say? See it here.
