Weighing in this time with his "High Times in High School" mix is Naviblog FM guest dj, DJ Tornado Kicks... in my opinion, probably one of the coolest cats to strut the mean streets of Tokyo. Recently I had a sit-down with DJ TKs here in the Naviblog FM studio and the conversation went a little like this... DJ Mike: So DJ TKs, how is it going?
DJ TKs: Well, you know... everything is everything. You know, like war sucks, right? Oh, and I said "sh**" on the radio the other day.
DJ Mike: Wow! You did?? Cool, cool... You bring that mix with ya?
DJ TKs: (he writes his answer down on a note pad then shows me) Yeah...
DJ Mike: Hmm... okay. Ready to get started?
DJ TKs: Dude, this mix is out there. I mean, this is definitely my favorite stuff, can I trust you with it? I mean, like I had to spend almost 7 hours in Tsutaya finding the tracks that I needed to complete it! Lose it and you might get hit in the head with a fireball... just joking, I wouldn't hit you in the head with a fireball.
DJ Mike: Well, okay...
DJ TKs: Serious man, this mix is like... my favorite stuff rounded out with some Rage. It's like earth shaking. Stuff that causes earthquakes...
DJ Mike: Cool, any words for your soon-to-be fans?
DJ TKs: Yeah, this mix is gonna bust you on top the head... kinda like getting hit by a "tornado kick". Listen, like it, enjoy it. Peace.
This is a "no holds barred, hard hitting" rock/metal mix flush with some of the biggest names in the industry and a couple who are definitely considered legendary. Look for people like Aerosmith, Metallica, Ozzy (one of my personal favorites!), Korn and Rage Against the Machine.
